Merchant claims and verification
Claiming: an unclaimed shop can be claimed with an email code. The shop page then shows "Pending verification" and you can manage photos, opening hours, dishes and contact details and reply to reviews as the owner.
Verification: submit a UEN, an NEA licence or an in-store photo of your QR poster; after a manual review the shop shows "Verified". Changing the shop name requires verification first.
Disputes: when more than one person claims a shop, map.com reviews the claims, decides who manages it and notifies the current manager. Impersonating another business or submitting false documents can lead to the claim being revoked and the account suspended.
